GO SHARKS!!

Since we moved to the Bay Area, we've always talked about going to a Sharks hockey game. That first year, was the year that hockey decided to strike. Boo. Well, that was a few years ago. We talk about it, yet never actually buy tickets.

When Christmas time came around, I was racking my brain to figure out what to get Brian. Then, I remembered..... I went to a get together with some girlfriends and discovered that one of those girls just so happened to be season ticket holders. I was asking her questions about the tickets, when she offered to sell me a pair for one of the nights she and her husband couldn't attend (Thanks Michelle!). PERFECT!!! One down!!

On Jan 3rd, Brian and I attended our first pro-hockey game. And they WON! In fact, they're on fire right now. We were joking before the game started if we'd see any fights.....turns out we didn't have to wait long. About 6 minutes into the game, there was a fight....gloves on the ice, punches thrown. The fans are loud, loyal, crazy and extremely energetic. The whole stadium was a sea of teal. It was awesome. We had a fantastic time...even though we weren't sure of all the rules. And trying to watch a puck get beaten around definitely takes some practice. Here I am, looking at the left, when the puck's already across the ice on the right.

Now that we've finally gone, we'll probably go to another game sometime. Although we're not big sports followers, the excitement and energy of watching a live game is worth every minute.
