You know, it's funny. When I was still in school trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and after 3 declared (VERY different) majors, all I wanted to do was to have a job where I could travel and see the world. And guess what? That's exactly what I'm doing. In the 7 years I've been working in Marketing, I've traveled to 5 states and 3 countries....about to become 4 countries later this year.
I love what I do, the people I've met along the way, the new challenges and the changing scenery. I love exploring new places, different cultures and the seeing the unique architecture. I always have my camera at the ready, waiting to capture my latest adventure so that I can share them when I get back home. And lucky for me, I work for a company that allows me to take an extra day to get to play.
But here I am....on the eve of yet another flight. And for the first time, I'm REALLY not looking forward to it. This is trip 3 of a 4 trip back-to-back stretch. This is trip 3 of a possible 7 for the year. I honestly don't know how sales people do it. They travel all.the.time and here I am complaining about a couple of trips!! But I'm exhausted. I'm just trying to stay focused and keep my head above water. This year has been absolutely insane, yet I know that it's the most important time of my entire career so far. Knowing that is what's keeping me going. Knowing that I have a vacation ahead of me where I can recharge my batteries is what's keeping me going.
Just about one more month and then I can rest......
