I have always wanted to see No Doubt in concert. But over the years, I just never got the chance. Then Gwen decided to go solo and I thought I'd never get the chance to see No Doubt play. Until this year. I had to go. Brian had seen them back in the 90's and he said that they sucked live. So I was a little apprehensive. I didn't want to ruin my love of the band by hearing them live when they we're good. But then I saw that their opening act was Paramore.....another girl fronted band that totally rocks (if you don't have the Riot album, go get it!!!). So, I bought tickets. If Brian didn't want to go, I was going anyways!
OMG. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I sang along to all the songs and just couldn't stop jumping up and down. They were AWESOME!!! And Brian did go and mentioned that they were great. They must have gotten better over the years......And not only did No Doubt rock the house, but so did their openers: The Sounds and Paramore.

SO jealous you got to go to that show! That was the first night of our Napa trip. I was *this.close* to getting tickets anyways and driving back & forth, but I didn't. Bummer. I'm glad it was as good as you'd hoped!
I saw them several years ago, and you're totally spot on - they have gotten MUCH better!! I was nervous since I'd seen them before and was honestly sort of bored, but this show was AWESOME. It's so funny that we were at the same show at the same time! I am 99% sure that if I studied that photo you posted of The Sounds, I could find myself :) So awesome!!
